Bloodline by Kate Cary
In this story told primarily through journal entries, a British soldier in World War I makes the horrifying discovery that his regiment commander is descended from Count Dracula.

Blue Bloods by Melissa De la Cruz
Select teenagers from some of New York City's wealthiest and most socially prominent families learn a startling secret about their bloodlines.

Chibi Vampire by Yuna Kagesaki
Outwardly Karin Maaka seems every bit the normal (if cute) little high school girl, but in reality she's the middle child in a family of vampires which settled in Japan in decades past. Even amongst her kindred Karin is an oddity, however; she lacks many normal vampire traits but is able to function during the day. Most importantly, she has an abundance of blood rather than a shortage of it, so instead of draining blood from people she bites, she gives blood to them, an experience which can potentially have beneficial side effects for the “victim.” And if she doesn't do it on a monthly basis, she experiences gushing nosebleeds!

Chosen by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird’s adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn’t have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn’t get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey’s horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth . . . (description from Amazon.com)

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer
For thirteen years, Vlad, aided by his aunt and best friend, has kept the secret that he's half-vampire. When his missing teacher is replaced by a sinister substitute, he learns that there is more to being a vampire (and to his parents' deaths) than he could have guessed.

Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce
The servant girl Aeriel must choose between destroying her vampire master for his evil deeds or saving him for the sake of his beauty and the spark of goodness she has seen in him.

Essential Tomb of Dracula by Marv Wolfman & Gene Colan
After he's brought back to life, Dracula emerges in the 1970s to find himself in a continual battle with a group of determined vampire hunters who are looking to bring his reign of terror to an end. Along the way Dracyla also battles demons, ghosts, fellow vampires, the disembodied criminal brain of Dr. Sun, Jack Russell: Werewolf by Night, and even the very elements themselves.

Evernight by Claudia Gray
Sixteen-year-old Bianca, a new girl at the sinister Evernight boarding school, finds herself drawn to another outsider, Jared, but dark forces threaten to tear them apart and destroy Bianca's entire world.

Frostbite: a Vampire Academy Novel by Richelle Mead
While on a school skiing trip, guardian-in-training Rose faces everything from misunderstandings between friends to fights among factions of Moroi as reports of horrific Strigoi attacks raise tensions, ultimately leading Rose and some of those closest to her into a battle that teaches her much about life, death, and love.

Record of a Fallen Vampire by Kyo Shirodaira
Thousands of years ago, Vampire King Akabara “Red Rose” Strauss lost both his kingdom and his queen. Since humans were unable to kill the queen, they sealed her away, erecting thousands of fake seals so that the king would never find her true location. Despite being pursued by relentless vampires, Akabara continues to search for his queen to this day . . .

Akabara is heavily injured during his battle against Kayuki, the newest incarnation of the Black Swan. Kayuki remains shrouded in mystery - not only does she bear a striking resemblance to the previous Black Swan, but she also offers Akabara a temporary truce! Best New Book: Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet

If you haven't read Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet by Joanne Proulx yet, you really need to check it out. It's one of the best books I've read in a long time.

"Stan," I said, and I said it kind of loud so of course he had to look up. "Tomorrow morning. 8:37. The red van with the out-of-state plates? You go head to head. You lose. You die."

After freakishly foretelling the death of a friend, Luke Hunter becomes big news in Stokum, his rank little pinprick of a hometown. Terrified, but pretending not to be, Luke holds everyone—the local media, his buddy Fang, the Polish widow next door—at arm's length as he lurches through a personal minefield studded with previously unconsidered existential ponderings, Christian fundamentalists, a missing teen's frantic mother, and a dream girl who isn't his.

Hormonal and funny, exhilarating and wise, Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet explores the need to belong, the isolation of youth, and the powerful brew of fear and truth, music and noise, that plays inside us all.

Every full moon, the portal opens and allows the sisters access to the Other Kingdom where they dance the night away with their Faerie friends.

The sisters have been safely visiting Faerie for years, but things start to change when Jena's older sister falls in love with someone that's not quite human and her cousin declares war on the night creatures. Jena's only hope to make things right is to trust her instincts, even if they're leading her in strange new directions.
